KARACHI: Islamic Mission Hospital, School of Nursing is holding their first 'Lamp Lightening Ceremony' to be inaugurated by Governor, Sindh, Kamaluddin Azfar, on 22nd April 1996. Fifty student nurses will lit lamp as per nursing tradition and to pledge for service to humanity. The ceremony would also mark the completion of Islamic Mission Hospital.

According to a press release the function is expected to be graced by distinguished guests, diplomats and elite of the city.

Islamic Mission Hospital is a registered trust' non-political non-profit organization of volunteers, who are working to establish a chain of welfare hospitals throughout the country with the objective of providing modern health care facilities to the needy. A hospital of 200 beds, (proposed project of 800 beds) is complete, while Out-Patient Department is catering to the needs of adjoining area of Korangi, Hyderi and Defence.

The School of Nursing has the unique distinction of achieving the second most coveted position in the nursing examination conducted by the government.
