limits: Kirmani

ISLAMABAD: The AJK delegate to current session of UN Human Rights Commission at Geneva Syed Waqar Hussain Kirmani has said comity of nations should take cognizance of massive abuse of human rights in the Indian occupied Kashmir.

This was for the first time that delegates from Azad Kashmir and occupied combined at Geneva to present their case as a single group before the international forum, which diplomats described as a step forward to promote Kashmir cause.

According to a message received here on Friday Syed Waqar Hussain Kirmani said Indian atrocities on Kashmiris had crossed all limits. Sacrifices laid down by valiant Kashmiris have kept the kashmir case alive.

Indian false propaganda had failed and international community was now aware of Kashmir issues in true perspective.

He said Kashmiris' struggle was based on their fundamental right to decide their own destiny which was also enshrined in UN resolutions. Undoubtedly Kashmir issue remained in cold storage because of Indian intrigues and deceptive propaganda in the past. With consistent struggle by Kashmiris world opinion have now started reeling pricks of conscience.

He commended the role of the AJK government in projection of Kashmir case at international level and pledged to continue efforts till the success of liberation struggle .

Syed Kirmani, Minister for Industries and cooperative in AJK government and representing displaced persons from Kashmir valley in AJK assembly, also lauded the efforts of Pakistani and Kashmiri expatriates who mobilised international public opinion in favour of Kashmiris' cause.-APP
