Delaware man executed for the murder of his parents

SMYRNA, (Del.): A man convicted of killing his adoptive parents was executed by lethal injection early on Friday, Delaware Correction Center officials said.

James Clark Jr, 39 was convicted of killing his adoptive parents two years ago, one month after completing a 21-year sentence for assaulting a child.

He pleaded guilty rather than stand trial for the shooting deaths of Elizabeth Clark, 71, and James Clark Sr, 72, and refused to file appeals, saying repeatedly that he wanted to die as soon as possible.-Reuter
