MPAs swear

to root out

corruption

SAHIWAL: Provincial Minister for Communication and Works Sardar Sikandar Hayat has informed that 37 members of the Provincial Assembly have taken oath on the Holy Quran that they would not accept bribery nor would they let their sub-ordinates to do so, instead they would launch a holy war (Jehad) against corruption.

The Provincial Minister was addressing an open kutchery in the lawn of Zila Council here on Friday. The people of Punjab would not accommodate corrupt officers, he warned.

The Minister on the complaint of President People's Workers Ittehad Malik Asif Rehman handed over the case of fake visa gang leader Abdullah etc. to the FIA and ordered to arrest the accused at the earliest.

The provincial minister asked to launch a special campaign against the disease of black jaundice and formed a committee consisting of the District Health Officer, the Medical Superintendent and the Administrator Municipal Committee to combat the disease.-APP
