MULTAN: Black flags were hoisted a top of all public buildings and offices and Government employees boycotted their professional duties on the second day of their protest. All offices remained closed as the grade 1 to 16 employees did not let their superiors enter the offices. However, an official spokesman said that clerical staff of courts, deputy commissioners offices, police, district accounts offices, revenue department on Thursday performed their duties as usual and majority of clerks and other employees did not take part in the strike. He said that a handful employees were making hue and cry to justify their corruption and irregularities.

A protest meeting was held at the offices of Directorate Education. Addressing the rally APCA leaders Rana Nasir Ali Hamid, Rana Qaisar Hussain, Malik Mohammad Arif, Mohammad Tariq Wali, Wakil Uddin Khalid, Javed Ghulam Abbas, Mujahid and Taimoor Aslam warned the Government to desist from introducing a number of mini budgets depriving the employees of pension and gratuity and said that their salaries and pay scales be revised keeping in view the rate of inflation.
