Asia 1996 fair

KARACHI: The Export Promotion Bureau, to give a boost to Pakistan's non-traditional sectors of export, has organised participation in Defence Services Asia 1996, a prestigious exhibition of defence related equipment and accessories, scheduled for April 23 - 26, 1996.

The event is fifth of the series of the exhibitions taking place in Malaysian capital. Some 600 companies from 42 countries are expected to display the goods and a very large numebr of interested buyers is expected to examine and to place orders, says an EPB press release.

Export Promotion Bureau has rented a choice space for exhibiting the products of 15 companies selected for the event. A wide-range of products "Made in Pakistan" would be displayed. They include rocket launchers, night vision equipment, mortars, SAM weapon system, gas masks uniforms, military shoes, inflatable rubber boats, canvas tents, tranceivers and small arms. The products are likely to attract a large number of buyers.
