IPG keen to

investing

industrial sectors

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Independent Petroleum Group of Kuwait (IPG) led by Executive Managing Director Waleed J. Hadeed held meeting with the Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Brig (Retd) Muhammad Asghar here on Wednesday.

The delegation elucidated the performance of IPG in the petroleum industry and showed its keen interest towards investment in the industrial and production sector of Pakistan, says a handout.

Waleed J. Hadeed said that IPG has already started interaction with the power sector of Pakistan by contributing the equity in Karachi-Hub pipeline project and looks forward to avail the investment-friendly existing environment in Pakistan.

The delegation lauded the economic and deregulation policies of the Government in the power and other economic related sectors and termed them as pioneer in the South Asia Region.

The Minister appreciated the interest expressed by IPG delegation for contributing towards the economic uplift of the country and assured his full support in this regard.

IPG extended an invitation to the Minister for visiting Kuwait along with a delegation of experts from Government of Pakistan.

Jasam Muhammad Al-Musallam, Managing Director, Marketing of IPG, Zaheeruddin, Chief Executive of Shahzad International and senior officials of the Ministry were also present during the meeting.

The Delegation also held separate meetings with the Secretary, Ministry of Industries and Production Aftab Ahmed Khan, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources Syed Naseer Ahmad, Director General (Oil) A.R.P. Memon, Director General Petroleum Concessions Shahid Ahmad, Director General (Oil) Munir Ahmad and Syed Mohibullah Shah, Secretary Board of Investment, Government of Pakistan.-APP
