IGPs meeting

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Nasirullah Babar chaired a meeting of all Inspectors General of Police and some other high-ranking officials of the law-enforcing agencies here on Wednesday.

According to a handout, the meeting reviewed the general law and order situation including improved situation in Karachi in particular. The meeting also discussed ways and means for better coordination amongst various law-enforcement agencies and decided to resort to positive means in order to curb gun-running, drug peddling, illegal immigration and elimination of terrorism.

This meeting was 2nd of its kind, the 1st was presided over by the Prime Minister two months ago.-APP
