LAHORE: The Superintendent of Camp Jail, Lahore, has

taken strict action against all the absentee wardens and ceased

their one annual increment.

In a surprise raid by the Prisons Chief, Punjab, Chaudhiry

Mohammad Hussain Cheema,a couple of days ago,six wardens were

reported absent from duty in camp Jail while seven were found

absent in Central Jail, Kot Lakh Pat l,Lahore.

The Superintendents of Central Jail,Kot Lakhpat Mohmmmad

Afzall and Superintendent Camp Jail,Nasir Mehmood

Warriah served show-cause notices to all absentees and ceased

their one annual increment.

The IGP has already issued show-cause notices to Deputy

Superintendent, Prisons, Ejaz Qadir and Assistant Superintendent

Prisons, Raza Mehmood Zaman of Kotlakhpat Jail for gross

negligence of duty.-APP
