Hino launches
'Super Flyer'
trucks, buses
NAYYAR ZUBERI
KARACHI: Hinopak Motors Limited enjoys 60 percent share of buses and trucks market in the country, according to Hasan Irshad, Hinopak Managing Director.
Talking to newsmen after the launching of the new generation of Hino trucks and buses at a hotel here on Tuesday, he said that the company had the capacity to produce 200 to 300 buses and trucks per month or 6,000 vehicles of various types per year.
He said in the last 10 years the company had produce about 20,000 buses and trucks.
Replying to a question he said that the prices of new model of buses and trucks would range between Rs. 1.5 million to Rs. 2 million.
Replying to another question J. Pereira, Manager Workshop and Service Training, said that the company had exported buses and trucks to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Somalia etc and added that they were facing tough competition with India due to price difference.
He said price-wise the "Indian vehicles are much cheaper than our due to duty structure, labour cost and other factors."
Hasan Irshad said that the new model "Hino Super Flyer" series FF and FL trucks, SG Truck Tractor and AKMA series buses reflect Hino's state of the art technology developed to satisfy a wide variety of individual customers and specific business needs. These features have been integrated to specifically meet the requirements of the Pakistan truck and bus market.
He said the Hino Super Flyer Series Trucks was developed under the concept that a truck should be beautiful, comfortable, profitable and environment friendly. Extensive time was spent on designing and development. As a result of these efforts, the image of trucks had now been changed forever. These vehicles had determined the direction trucks would follow in the 21st century.
