Probe into SKMT
hospital bomb
blast incidence
LAHORE: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Lahore Range, Tariq Pervaiz on Monday directed the SSP,Lahore, to probe the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust bomb blast on all aspects to help identify and arrest the saboteurs.
Talking to APP here at oath taking ceremony of new Chief Justice of Lahore High Court at Governor House,he said that the investigation team led by SSP Lahore has been asked to collect all sorts of available evidences from the spot which he added would help a lot to reach on a conclusion.
He said that he was personally taking keen interest in the pace of investigation and all out efforts were being made to nab the saboteurs.
Senior Superintendent of Police,Lahore, Chaudhary Sajjad Ahmed who was also present on this ceremony when contacted told APP that services of renowned investigators of Police Department have been acquired to help in investigation. He said that the life long experiences of investigators would be fully utilised.
He said that the outcome of the investigation would be made public. Meanwhile Punjab Minister for Health (Urban) Chaudhary Badar-Ud-Din, said that on the special directive of Prime Minister all the victims of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT) cancer hospital bomb blast would get free of cost specialised medical treatment at Jinnah Hospital till their complete recovery. He said that the Medical Superintendent Jinnah, Hospital, Dr.Anis Ahmed has been directed to personally ensure the best possible medical cover to victims, and continue to visit the hospital to enquire about the health of host victims.-APP
