KARACHI: Asadullah Khawaja, Managing Director, Investment Corporation of Pakistan (ICP) while highlighting the new strategy for improving the working of the corporation, has urged the branch managers and heads of various departments to gear up their efforts to face the increasing competition from private sector investment firms.

Speaking at a meeting of the branch managers and heads of departments of ICP, Asad advised the managers to provide better and quick service to their clients account-holders. As regards recovery of loans, he advised that henceforth branches would help in recovery of outstanding dues/overdues in their respective region.

Muhammad Aslam DMD (Investment) stressed that in order to improve the working of the Corporation a new strategy has been chalked out and the deliberators of this meeting would help in formulating policies which would be conducive to improved operations of the corporation.

Iqbal Ismail, Qamar Khan and Mohammad Yasin presented papers on technical analysis and other aspects of analysis which could be used to assess the value of shares quoted on the stock exchange, on the first day. Representatives of Barings Securities Pakistan (Private) Ltd., Trevor Hammond and S. Itrat Hussain of M/s. Paramount Leasing also spoke on the occasion.
