ISLAMABAD: President Farooq Leghari has strongly condemned the bomb blast at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital in Lahore on Sunday in which several precious lives were lost and many people including patients were injured.

The President said that attack on a hospital is the most heinous crime which cannot be tolerated by any Civilised Society, said a handout.

The President sympathised with the bereaved families and injured ones and prayed for their early recovery.

Federal ministers Aftab Shahban Mirani, Nasirullah Khan Babar, N.D. Khan, Nawab Yousaf Talpur, Brig. Asghar, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, ministers of state Raza Rabbani, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Leader of the House in the Senate have strongly condemned the bomb blast.

LAHORE: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Naib Amirs Chaudhry Rehmat Ellahi, Chaudhry Mohammad Aslam Saleemi and Deputy Secretary General Ejaz Chaudhry have expressed deep sense of grief over the tragic loss of lives in a bomb blast.
