ISLAMABAD: President Farooq Leghari on Sunday appointed Mr. Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Khan, Judge, Lahore High Court, presently serving as the Judge Shariat Court as the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court.

Mr. Justice Irshad Hasan Khan, the acting Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, has been requested to resume his duties as Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The President has appointed Mr. Justice Mamoon Kazi, Judge, Sindh High Court, to be the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court.

The President has relieved Mr. Justice Mamoon Kazi, ad hoc Judge, Supreme Court of Pakistan, of his duties in the said Court and appointed him Judge of the Supreme Court with immediate effect.

The president has requested Mr. Justice Abdul Hafeez Memon, the Acting Chief Justice of Sindh High Court to resume his duties as Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Mr. Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid, Chief Justice, Sindh High Court, and presently Judge, Federal Shariat Court, has been appointed as Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan with immediate effect.-APP
