Fluctuations in plastics, tea prices

KARACHI: Fluctuations were seen in tea and plastic mouldings on Sunday, while other commodities were traded at the previous levels.

Physical off-take was stated to be low and was confined to declines only.

tea underwent correction leading to modest to sizeable fall in the prices.

Fractional uptrend was observed in China's green tea. All other teas from other countries went with the trend. Kenyan PF-1 A grade lost Rs 10, B grade Rs 5, plus C grade shed RS 3 and C grade Rs 5.

BP-1 A grade shed Rs 3, B grade quoted at Rs 135, plus C grade lost Rs 3, C grade lost same amount. D-1 A and B grades conceded Rs 5, plus C grade lost Rs 4, and C grade Rs 3. Dust A grade climbed down by Rs 5, plus C grade Rs 4, and C grade lost Rs 3.

Bangladesh's Garden Pack (original) shed Rs 7, Gulab Rs 10, Khushbu shed Rs 7, STD/515 Rs 15, STD 16 shed Rs 12, STD/BOP quoted at Rs 100, Garden Pack BOP shed Rs 5. China Green 9575 and 8117 up each Rs 3, 25101 lost Rs 10, 35101 shed Rs 3, 2241 shed Rs 7, and black China gave in Rs 5. Indonesian PF-1 Good A and Good B conceded Rs 10, BP-1 (CTC) and PD (CTC) conceded Rs 5. Tanzanian PF-1 (CTC) BP-1 (CTC) lost Rs 10 and PD (CTC) shed Rs 5. Rwandan BP-1 (CTC) and BP-1 (CTC) shed RS 5 and PD (CTC) lost Rs 10.

Plastic mouldings under certain heads rose modestly depicting a mixed trend. Rise was pronounced in HDPE film LLDPE, polypropylene film grade, polyestyrene high impact and PVC. HDPE film Tipelin 470 up 20 paisa, Mobil HTA 001 up 40 paisa, Korea 3080 up 50 paisa, Escorene 00952 up 35 paisa.

LLDPE ladene up 25 paisa, and Escorene up 35 paisa. Polypropylene film grade Tipelin H356F30 up Re one, and Amoco higher by the same amount. Polyestyrene high impact Basf up 50 paisa, Krasten Lucky and Hanan turned lower by 50 paisa and Saudia conceded 75 paisa. PVC Golden Bell up 50 paisa, Korea lost 75 paisa, Hungary (ongrovil) and Saudia shed 25 paisa.
