FAISALABAD: Eagle Squad will be reactivated while 80 police pickets will be set up throughout Faisalabad city to eliminate crimes and provide sense of security to the law abiding citizen, said SSP Zafar Ahmed Qureshi.

He said that a comprehensive strategy has been evolved to control the crime wave by ensuring effective police presence throughout the city on all important points.

He said that 80 points have been earmarked where police pickets will be set up. These pickets will be manned with trained ASIs, head constables and constables. The staff selected for this purpose has been drawn from various police stations and will be given special training to handle the criminals and face any emergency.

The eagle staff will be an additional arrangement. It will be mobile and can rush to any point within shortest possible time. SSP said that these arrangement will be effectively supervised by competent police officers. The active presence of police force will not only discourage the criminals but also provide sense of security to the law abiding citizen, he hoped.-APP
