BEIRUT0: Israeli warplanes launched a new

raid into a guerrilla-held south Lebanon village on Saturday in

the first assault after the expiry of a new deadline for

villagers to flee their homes, security sources said.

They said the assault targeted Mansouri area south of the

port of Tyre. There was no immediate word on casualties in the

raid which raised to 17 the number of air assaults into Lebanon

on Saturday, the third day of an Israeli blitz on Lebanon._Reuter
