LAHORE: Dr. Muhammad Nazir Bhatti has been posted as Director General Fisheries Punjab in place of Dr Muhammad Sharif Bhutta retiring on Sunday after attaining the age of superannuation.

Dr Nazir Bhatti joined this department in 1965 and he won the PhD scholarship through open competition and did his doctorate in Fisheries from the Punjab University in 1972. He is also author of several books now prescribed in three universities for Postgraduate classes.

Dr Bhatti has also presented more than sixty research papers on various topics in the field of fisheries including the breeding, hatching and growth of fisheries, simultaneously published in different countries.-APP
