KARACHI: Three children were injured in a bomb explosion in Orangi Town on Saturday.

Police sources said that Wasim, 8, Irfan, 3, and Jamila Sehar, 11, found a pipe bomb lying near wast dump in Orangi Town. They started playing with the pipe which exploded with a big bang.

Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Liaquatabad who had received burn injuries on Thursday breathed his last at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Mohammad Yousuf, who was injured in a road accident in Gulzar-i-Hijri on Friday died at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Mushtaq, Babu and Fazal Mohammad were injured when the pick-up in which they were going, turned turtle near Korangi.

Police arrested eight persons including three CIA cops from Orangi Town involved in a bank dacoity of Rs 38 lakh in Lahore. Police sources refused to give further details.
