to be observed

LAHORE: President Pakistan Muslim League (N) and opposition leader, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, has held Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto responsible of the killing of PML(N) activist, Javed Ashraf.

Addressing an open kutchery at his Model Town residence on Friday.

While paying tributes to late Javed Ashraf, Nawaz said he was a devoted political worker, who laid down his life for a just and great cause.

He said PML(N) would observe martyrdom day of Javed Ashraf on April 4 every year.

Bitterly criticizing the PPP govt, he said it had crossed all limits in its anti-people policies. "The government was resorting to worst type of political victimization against its opponents", he added.

Nawaz said people are well aware of the real face of PPP and know that what it had relations with Al-Zulfiqar. He further said that people are fed up of anti-people policies of present inept and corrupt government and wanted its removal at the earliest.

He maintained that the fault of late Javed Ashraf was only that he was protesting against undemocratic and unconstitutional acts of the present cruel government. He said the blood of Javed Ashraf will not go waste.

Speaking on the occasion, President PML(N) Punjab Senator Ch. Shujaat Hussain said tht late Javed Ashraf was an asset of the Pakistan Muslim League and by laying down his life he had become immortal.-PPI
