BOMBAY: Castorseed June delivery rose 1.50/2.50 rupees to 1,039/1,040 rupees per quintal on stray speculative support, floor sources said.

"Reports of a fall in arrivals at castorseed producing centres triggered speculative buying," said a dealer. June delivery was up two rupees per quintal on Thursday.

Arrivals in India's western state of Gujarat, the country's main castorseed producer, fell on Friday to 60,000 bags (75 kg each) from 80,000 bags on the previous day.

Groundnut oil was quiet at 394/395 rupees per 10 kg on a limited supply.-Reuter
