visit Ombudsman's

office

KARACHI: The leaders and members of delegations from China, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Maldives, currently in Pakistan to attend the First Asian Ombudsman Conference (FAOC) being held at Islamabad from April 15-17, on visited regional office of the Federal Ombudsman (Wafaqi Mohtasib) here on Friday.

The delegation was briefed by Shaukat Ali Shaikh, Member and Incharge of the RO, Federal Ombudsman. Wafaqi Mohtasib, Justice (Retd) Abdul Shakoor Salam was also present on the occasion.

The delegation was briefed about the working of the Ombudsman's Secretariat. The delegation was told that matters and complaints regarding the federal government departments were processed, heared and decided by the Federal Ombudsman. The RO at Karachi deals with the complaints lodged at the provincial level.

The delegation also visited the office of the provincial Ombudsman. It was received by the Provincial Ombudsman, Justice (Retd) Salahuddin Mirza.-APP
