AJK-based banks asked

to extend easy term

loans to small traders

MIRPUR (AJK): The President, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (AJKCCI), Zulfiqar Abbasi has emphasized upon the Pakistani scheduled banks operating in Azad Kashmir to extend easy term business loans to the small traders and entrepreneurs to enable them to launch and promote their business in the region.

In a press statement the AJKCCI chief pointed out that billions of rupees belonging to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir including the overseas Kashmiris were lying in the AJK-based Pakistani scheduled banks in shape of deposits.

He continued that contrary to the huge deposits of billions of rupees belonging to the AJK people in these banks the unsympathetic and negative attitude of these banks towards the business community including industrialists in respect of release of business loans to the intending entrepreneurs is extremely deplorable.

Meanwhile, the AJKCCI has decided to launch a campaign for the achievement of easy term business loans from the AJK based Pakistani scheduled banks for the intending small traders and entrepreneurs.

The chamber has asked the small traders and their representative organisations (Anjuman-e-Tajran) throughout Azad Kashmir to apprise the AJK Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the healthy proposals at earliest convenience to ensure the achievement of easy term small business loans.-PPI
