KARACHI: Pakistan Railways have announced the running of a special train for Rawalpindi in order to clear the heavy rush of passengers for upcountry before Eid.

The train will operate on April 25 and will entirely consist of Economy class coaches, the Divisional Commercial Officer, Altaf Mahmood, said on Thursday after noticing the heavy rush of passengers.

All the passengers who were waiting for reservation were accommodated for April 25 and still a number of seats were available at the closing on April 10.

According to railway sources this step has adversely affected the black-marketing of tickets and those criminals who had purchased tickets for black marketing were highly disappointed.

These criminals, they said, were now indulging in adverse propaganda in a section of the press to avenge the disappointment caused to them by railway authorities.

Meanwhile, the railway authorities here announced that seats for upcountry for various destinations were available and efforts being made to arrange more special trains.-APP
