Lahore Fort

LAHORE: Azerbaijan, President Haider Aliyev, on Thursday, while visiting the Lahore Fort, found striking resemblance between the architectural wonders of Great Mughals and the rich cultural heritage of his own country.

Both countries, he said, were linked to each other through their cultural affinities since long. The President particularly appreciated the works at Shish Mahal and even touched the surface to feel and see the perfection of art.

On arrival at the Fort, after laying floral wreath at Allama Iqbal's Mausoleum, President Aliyev was received by the provincial Information Minister Saeed Zafar and Director Archaeology, Ihsan H. Nadeem. The distinguished guest was conducted round the monument and explained in detail about the architectural magnificence belonging to the Mughal period.-APP
