MoU in China

BEIJING: Auditor General of Pakistan, S.K. Mehmud, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 1997-99 here with the Auditor General of China, Guo Zhenqian, according to a Pakistan Embassy source.

The MoU, signed on Monday, April 8, inter-alia called for exchange of information, seminars, study tours and training.

The Auditor General of Pakistan, who is heading a three-member delegation on a week's official visit to China, held talks with his counterpart. The two sides exchanged information on the respective audit and accounting systems in the two countries and explored avenues for further collaboration.

Later, the Pakistani delegation, which includes A.R. Arif, Accountant General, Pakistan Revenues, and Mehtab Hasan Naqvi, Director-General, International Relations, office of the Auditor-General of Pakistan, also held discussions with officials of the Beijing Municipal Audit Bureau.-APP
