Govt striving

for betterment

of fishermen,

says minister

KARACHI: The Provincial Minister and chairman of Fisheries Cooperative Society, Lal Bux Bhutto, has said the present government is pay ing attention towards the betterment of fishermen and spreading education among them.

He was speaking at a reception by the Fishermen Cooperative Society at Takery village to felicitate the provision of an ambulance for the area.

The Minister said fishermen earn precious foreign exchange for the country. He s aid attention is paid towards the cleanliness at fish harbour and steps would be taken for enhancing income generation opportunities at the harbour.

Lal Bux Bhutto told the gathering that the Fishermen Cooperative Society will bear t he expenses of high education for the children of fishermen.

He said that language labs are being set up to teach English, French and German t o the children of fishermen.

Meanwhile, speaking at another function, the Minister said that old goths around Karachi will be provided with basic facilities.-APP
