Makkah: About two millions of faithfuls on Saturday converged on the plain of Arafat for the standing rituals and listened the 'Khutaba' (sermon) at the Nimrah Mosque, and sought the pardon of their sins from Almighty Allah and His blessings.

Millions of pilgrims, including President Farooq Leghari along his countrymen and other Muslims of the world and dignitaries from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries performed the standing rituals at Arafat and listened 'Khutaba-Haj.

Earlier, the pilgrims soon after Fajr prayers in 'Mina' in their respective tents left for Arafat reciting 'Talbiah' in buses cars, wagons and other means of transport.

The Imam Sahib in his "Khutaba" urged the Muslims should fashion their lives in accordance with the teaching of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

He highlighted the significance of Haj with special reference to the standing of pilgrims at the plain of Arafat.

The Imam urged the faithfuls to firmly believe in the oneness of God and avoid "Shirk" (equating some one with God).

He also urged the Muslims and the pilgrims to strictly follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and his guiding principles.

He said the last sermon delivered by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is of utmost significance for the Islamic system of life as it contains his instructions for the Muslims.

The Imam urged the Muslims to strictly follow the last sermon of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) for a better life.

The Imam in his Arabic speech from Masjid Nimrah, prayed to Almighty Allah for the unity among the Muslim Ummah.

He also prayed for the welfare and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.

He also prayed for the solution of all problems, being faced by the Muslims anywhere in the world.-APP
