LEAs hunt

out 'terrorists'

in Nazimabad

KARACHI: A heavy posse of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) surrounded certain parts of Nazimabad and Paposhnagar following receipt of information about certain terrorists and criminals involved in heinous crimes hiding in the area on early Wednesday morning.

On information from informers, the Law Enforcement Agencies carried out searches of certain specified houses and made some arrests.

Law Enforcement Agencies also carried out raids in some specific parts of Liaquatabad and an exchange of fire also took place with terrorists.

According to informed sources notorious terrorist Rehan Kana, who was hiding in the area, escaped during the encounter with the police.

According to details the Law Enforcement Agencies had carried out digging in a place in Nazimabad in search of arms after which on Wednesday morning at about 4.00 a.m. LEA surrounded parts of Nazimabad, Paposhnagar, Bara Maidan and Khilafat Chowk and carried out search of specific houses.

In Liaquatabad there had been reports of exchange of fire between two groups late Tuesday night in which terrorist Rehan Kana was alleged to have been injured but he was taken away by his group members. Later LEA also reached there and started patrolling and picketing.
