Indian tin, nickel gain as global prices firm up
BOMBAY: Indian tin and nickel prices moved up in the local market tracing an upturn in international markets, dealers said.
"A shortage of stocks also helped the climb as speculators were very active today," said one dealer.
Tin moved up by 400 rupees per quintal to 32,200 ($10,241.7 a tonne) and nickel gained by 300 rupees per quintal to 37,500 ($11,927 a tonne).
Copper was steady at 15,900 rupees per quintal ($5,057.2 a tonne), zinc at 6,050 ($1,924.3) and aluminium at 7,600 (2,417).
