KARACHI: The architects and town planners, having become excisable have to obtain a central excise licence from the Central Excise city division, Karachi.

The Chairman of Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners, Misbah Najmi, in a press statement issued on Tuesday said that the competent authority to issue licence to the architects and town planners is the Assistant Collector, Central Excise. All other authorities previously issuing licences have become redundant following the passage of Finance Act 1995.
