SINGAPORE: Asian dollar deposits were little changed in lacklustre trade with most traders sidelined on lack of fresh incentives, dealers said.

They said most traders were sidelined ahead of tonight's release of the US June consumer credit data, which is forecast to be around US$10.8 billion compared with US$11.51 billion reported in May.

"The market was quiet and featureless in the morning. But there was no fresh news and most people are waiting for more signs about market direction from tonight's consumer credit figures," a local dealer said.

In day-to-day rates, Monday/Tuesday, Tuesday/Wednesday and week-fixed eased 1/16 percentage point each to a common 5-13/16 5-11/16 percent, respectively.

Among longer dates, one-, three- and six-months was unchanged from last Friday's common 5-15/16 5-13/16 percent, respectively.

Twelve-months was unchanged at 6 5-7/8 percent.-Reuter
