ISLAMABAD: New Zealand has dropped charges of dumping of leather garments against Pakistani exporters, according to a communication received by the Ministry of Commerce from Wellington.

Last year the Skin Producers Association of Newzealand had urged the their government to levy anti-dumping duty against the import of leather garments from Pakistan.

The Trade Remedies Group started the investigation in January but terminated it in May.

The reason was insufficient evidence and no injury caused to the local industry.
