HYDERABAD: An amount of over Rs 14 million is being spent for various development schemes at Taluka Hyderabad and Tando Mohammed Khan.

It was informed in a meeting of the officials of local government department and office-bearers of PPP Taluka Hyderabad and Tando Mohammed Khan held here at circuit house on Sunday under thhe presidentship of Sindh Minister for Food, Muhsin Shah Bukhari.

The minister was informed in detail about various on going development schemes, launched during last financial year in these areas.

Administrator, Tando Mohammed Khan informed the minister that over Rs 37 lakh have been spent on 46 development schemes in Tando Mohammed Khan town and the remaining work of these schemes will be completed shortly. These schemes will cost Rs five million, he added.

It was informed that over Rs thirty two lakh have been spent on the development scheme in union council Shaikh Bhirkio. The maximum amount was spent for the construction of roads in the area. The minister directed the concerned officials to complete all development schemes in union council Shaikh Bhirkio at the earliest.

The minister was further informed that Rs 33 lakh have been spent on the development shemes, specially the construction of roads in union council Seri while the work is under way in village Tando Sain Dad.

The minister directed the local government officials to improve the tax recovery system so that maximum amount could be spent for the development schemes in the area. He also directed them to take suggestions from the area office-bearers of PPP so that the work on development shcemes could be completed with their coordination.-APP
