HRCP rally
condemns US
bombing of
Japanese cities
ISLAMABAD: The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) staged a demonstration to condemn use of atomic bombs by USA on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in front of super market on Sunday.
The demonstration was held in connection with 50th anniversary of terrible occasion.
The participants of the demonstration, most of those women and children were carrying placards inscribed with slogans in the favour of peace in the world and against nuclear proliferation.
The placards were prescribed with slogans-no more "Hiroshima" stop testing of nuclear weapons, "eliminate nuclear weapons", "no nukes" etc.
The atomic bomb exploded on August 6, 1945 at 8.15 a.m. on Hiroshima releasing a blast that buried people under debris and heat scorched everything within a three mile radius besides massive radiation. The estimates say that about 1.5 lakh people died by December 1945.
The horrible incident was followed by another atomic bombing on Nagasaki.-PPI
