Abedi's death
widely condoled
KARACHI: Prominent businessmen and industrialists of the country have expressed their grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renown banker and founder of United Bank Limited and BCCI Agha Hassan Abedi and expressed their sympathy with the bereaved family.
FPCCI PRESIDENT
S. M. Muneer, President FPCCI has expressed deep grief and sorrow on the sad demise of Agha Khan Abedi.
In a condolence message he said that in the death of Agha Hasan Abedi, Pakistan has lost an outstanding banker of international repute. His services in the banking sector will always be remembered and will remain a shining example of devotion and dedication.
S. M. Muneer prayed for God's blessings on the departed soul and solace and courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
VP FPCCI
Sheikh Humayun Sayeed, Vice-President, FPCCI has condoled the sad demise of Agha Hasan Abedi.
In a condlence message Sheikh Humayun Sayeed said that Agha Hasan Abedi was a big name in the Banking Sector not only in the country but also abroad. His services to the country will ever keep his memoryalive.
Humayun Sayeed also visited the residence of Agha Hasan Abedi to offer condolence to the bereaved family.
DR ABDUL QADEER
ISLAMABAD: The renowned nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has condoled the sad demise of world fame banker Agha Hasan Abedi and described his death as a great loss to Pakistan as well as the Muslim world.
In a statement, Dr. Khan said that Abedi was not only a banker of high repute and vision but was a great patroniser of education particularly the scientific and technical education.
He praised the invaluabe, moral and material assistance extended by late Abedi for the establishment of the nuclear institute at Topi in NWFP near Tarbela which he said was a great achievement of Pakistan. He said that Pakistanis feel indebted to Abedi for his contribution in this respect.
He prayed for the eternal rest of the departed sould and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
MANZOOR ALAM
Sheikh Manzoor Alam former chairman, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry also expressed his sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Agha Hasan Abedi and expresed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed Almighty Allah to bear the irreparable loss.
