KARACHI: Grain markets showed an upward trend on the week-opening session on Saturday as most of the needy buyers were in the ring to cover their immediate requirements.

Most of the changes marked among cereals, where Moong Sindh closed with a modest rise of Rs. 25 in the process of slow trading. Dal Punjab followed the same pattern and picked up Rs. 50 due to strong demand from buyers. Urad Burma dropped by Rs. 20 on lack of fresh demand.

On the seeds side, castorseeds, and NT sawgin shed Rs. 5 before closing. All other items maintained their overnight levels.
