ISLAMABAD: South African President Nelson R. Mandela has expressed his concern and support to President Farooq Leghari on the loss of human lives and heavy damage to the property and crops caused by recent floods in Pakistan.

In a message to the President Farooq Leghari, Nelson Mandela has conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Government of Pakistan as well as the families and friends of the flood victims and the people of Pakistan.

President Farooq Leghari is, presently, at Multan to personally visit the flood-affected areas of Punjab and Sindh and to meet the flood affectees for on-the-spot assessment of the ravage caused by the floods and direct relief and reconstruction measures for the flood affected people and areas.-APP
