Mirani leaves

for Honolulu

KARACHI: Defence Minister Aftab Shaaban Mirani, on Wednesday left here for Honolulu to attend the 50th anniversary of the end of Second World War.

US Secretary Defence, William Perry, had extended an invitation to Mirani for participation in the 4-day commemoration at Honolulu which will also be attended by US President Bill Clinton.

While at Honolulu the Minister will call on US Secretary Defence William Perry and Commander-in-Chief Pacific Command Admiral Richard C. Macke.

On his way back the Defence Minister will pay a 3-day official visit from September 5-7 to Philippines at the invitation of his counterpart..-APP
