2 giraffes

LAHORE: The Lahore Zoological Gardens authorities are planning to import a couple of giraffes from some European country's zoo to add this animal species to the zoo.

It may be recalled here that the lone giraffe of Lahore Zoological Gardens died recently.

The Lahore Zoological Gardens would float tenders within two or three days to invite bids from the interested parties. The zoo authorities had also planned to import a couple (a female and male giraffe) for the zoological gardens with a view to save the animal from sense of lonelinesss from which the last giraffe was passing since last seven to eight years. It could also help in having children of this animal at zoo.-PPI
