KARACHI: Plastic mouldings covered some ground on the Jodia Bazar on Wednesday, where milk and dyes conceded substantially. The Kirana and dry fruits were mixed. The tea and chemical sectors held fast to Tuesday's level.

Plastic mouldings, constantly on the retreat for several weeks, started regaining lost ground, on news that import-duty on plastic granules is likely to be increased to make it uniform for all importers: HDPE film Tipelin up 50 paisa, mobil up 35 paisa, Korea up 40 paisa, polypropylene tape grade Saudia up 50 paisa, Himont Tipelene, Yuplene too gained 50 paisa, PVC formaton declined 50 paisa, Hungary, Ongrovil shed 50 paisa, Saudia lost 50 paisa and Russia backed away by 75 paisa.

The milk powder full cream turned lower, while suimmed ones kept firm: full cream instant Klohri Gold and Creme conceded Rs 50, Kissan Gold shed Rs 75, Mix Me gave in Rs 50, crolac declined by Rs 50, Kerry Gold depreciated by Rs 25, Green Flag and Adlae went down by Rs 50 each, sweetened per carton Palac lost Rs 45, Lucky Cow backed away by Rs 65, and Mary Gold conceded Rs 45.

Kerana and dry fruits: white pepper up Rs 200, black pepper quoted of at 5400, mace dropped Rs 300, small cardamom depreciated by Rs 360, small cardamom from Guatemala lost Rs 800, copra Ceylon up Rs 400, copra small up Rs 400, sago depreciated by Rs 40, almond katha up Rs 120, almond girdi up Rs 220, almond Irani up Rs 100, walnut in shell I shed Rs 200, II shed Rs 300, walnut kernal quoted at Rs 4900, apricot I lost Rs 450, II lost Rs 750, dates semi dry quoted at Rs 1000, dry dates quoted at Rs 1100.

Dyes were mixed: scarlet China shed Rs 5, bordeux up Rs 10 and intrasperse brown RX lower by Rs 5.
