tenders for

fly-over at

NIPA Chowrangi

KARACHI: The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has invited sealed bids from the qualified bidders/contractors for designing and construction of Rashid Minhans Road fly-over at NIPA interesection in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.

Costing Rs 334 million it would be constructed by KDA as part of Prime Minister's Karachi Package, under Tameer-e-Sindh Programme.

Bids would be received and opened on September 17, 1995 feasibility study for construction of fly-over was started by KDA on priority basis.

The fly-over will be constructed along Rashid Minhas Road spanning NIPA Chowrangi and railway track on Rashid Minhas Road.

It will provide through movement of traffic on Rashid Minhas Road and also grade separation of straight University Road traffic and straight Rashid Minhas Road traffic.

Other projects under execution by KDA in the area including University Road ovehead bridge and extension of bridge over Lyari River on Rashid Minhas Road, are closely related to the fly-over project.-PPI
