Dada was not

killed after

arrest

KARACHI: Interior Minister Nasirullah Babar on Thursday totally denied that Farooq Dada was first arrested and then killed.

Replying to newsmen's questions in this regard at a press conference, he said that for government it was more important that terrorists were arrested alive because in this case useful information could be obtained from them.

When asked to confirm rumours about the arrest of Dr. Imran Farooq, the Interior Minister said that nothing was impossible. There was a possibility of his early arrest.

When a questioner told Interior Minister that Farooq Dada had been reported killed twice previously and wanted to know whether the man killed on Wednesday was really Farooq Dada, he said yes, he was genuine Farooq Dada.

Babar said he had been identified by MQM leaders and, therefore, there should be no doubt about it.-APP
