SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, seven more innoncent people, including a woman and a student, were brutally killed by troops during fresh acts of repressions at various places, reports Kashmir Media Service.

According to details, two young men riding on scooter were shot dead by troops in Nabba Kadal area of Srinagar without any rhyme or reasons. The martyred youth were, Farooq Ahmad and Abdul Aziz. The dead body of Mohammad Ashraf, 14 years of age, was found in Zaina Kadal. He was arrested three months ago, tortured to death in custody and his dead body thrown at a deserted place.

In Tral, a woman Sajida was shot dead when she refused the troop's orders to send her young daughters to military camp. One Mohammad Yousaf was gunned down during a military raidin Achabal area of Islamabad while a student, Bilal Ahmad was arrested at Krairi in the evening and his dead body was handed over to his parents early in the morning.

A 72-hour long crackdown was carried out at Lalpura in Budgam area and the people dragged to open places were kept starved and thirsty all this time. The bearded people were separated by Rashtria Rifles personnel and subjected to interrogation on the spot. More than 30 people were severely beaten up and left bleeding. Tyrannical crackdowns were also carried out at two other places in the areas, Sharifabad and Beerwah.

Extensive house-to-house searches were carried out in Sarhaama area of Kupwara district where houses were ransacked and the inmates persecuted. Similar action was also carried out at Shopian.

In Baramula district, where extensive siege and search operations were carried out, the Mujahideen clashed with troops killing and wounding a number of them. Three Mujahideen got martyred in these actions. At two places in the district the troops indulged in rampage and rounded up several people.

At Qaripura in Sopore area, one Mohammad Abdullah was arrested and shot dead on the spot. One military vehicle was blasted in land mines explosion in Baramula area, killing and wounding a number of troops.

It was reported from Jammu that a soldier after having querrelled with his company commander, went berserk, killing four troops before committing suicide.

Meanwhile, a well-known Indian journalists, Ajeet Bhatar Chariya writing in Jammu English daily, the Kashmir Times has advised the Indian government to give up policy of suppressing the Kashmiri people and the Mujahideen through the use of force.

He reminded the Indian rulers that this policy had not achieved anything worthwhile. In fact this policy had hardened the Kashmir people in their hatred of India and in their alienation.

On the other hand, one brigade military personnel, dressed as civilian and armed with hatchets formed the bulk of the audience, Ghulam Rasul Kaar of the Indian Congress Party addressed at his village Chaudory, 20 kms from Baramula, when he mentioned elections, the people raised slogans of Azadi, Azadi.

Undaunted by the presence of the disguised military force, the Kashmiris contemptuously rejected the polls poly. These asserted that they wanted their right of self-determination under the Un Charter.-PPI
