Add Rupee

LAHORE: The rupee depicted a firmer outlook at the foreign currency exchange counter where business was quite optimistic.

The rupee which opened at its overnight closing improved 2 paisa in terms of the US dollar, and further fluctuations were also observed at the market.

The other currencies like the pound sterling, Deutsch mark, Saudi riyal, UAE dirham, and Indian Rupee stayed firmer.

In the kerb market the rupee showed a mixed trend in response to the other currencies especially in terms of the U.S. dollar and pound sterling.

Dealers expect further stability in the dollar-rupee parity in the near future.
