KARACHI: Seven persons were shot and injured in different incidents of firing in the city on Wednesday.

Ejaz and Nadim were injured in two different incidents in PIB Colony.

In a similar incident, Mrs. Ajmad Najmi and her son Muzaffar Najmi were injured in Gulbahar.

Mohammad Riaz and an unidentified man were injured in two different incidents of firing in Model Colony and Landhi respectively.

Police arrested Amjad Khan from Gulbahar area and recovered an SMG from his possession.

Three armed men barged into A.S. Sayeed Corporation and took away Rs.2 lakh and prize bonds worth Rs.50,000. The armed men injured Rizwan on resistance.

Law enforcing agencies arrested Babu after an encounter in Zaman Town.

Shops and markets remained closed in Liaquatabad in protest against the alleged killing of MQM activist Arshad Khan alias K-2 by police.
