Vietnam

HANOI: Emirates Airline is to begin twice-weekly flights between Dubai and Ho Chi Minh City from October 30, becoming the first middle eastern airline to fly the route, a statement said Monday.

The airline will fly the route on Mondays and Saturdays with the flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Dubai going via Singapore, the statement said.

Emirates is the 23rd foreign airline to fly to Vietnam, with the majority serving Ho Chi Minh City. It will use Airbus A310 jets on the rout to its 38th international destination.

Vietnam Airlines currently flies from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates en route to its European destination.-AFP
