CBR clarification

ISLAMABAD: A spokesman of CBR has clarified that improper/casual reporting of interviews and statements of individual officers of CBR and Income Tax Department tend to create misunderstandings amongst general class of tax payers.

The spokesman stated that the procedure followed by CBR, for the purposes of views and observations on various issues, is to call press briefings where press agencies as well as press reporters are invited.

The spokesman requested press reporters to avoid quoting CBR officials in publishing individual press statements in their newspapers.-APP
