SSP chief

presents himself

for arrest

FAISALABAD: Chief of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) Maulana Zia-ur-Rehman Farooqi presented himself for arrest in DIG House here on Sunday.

Prior to his arrest he told journalists that Sipah-e-Sahaba was not involved in attack on BBC office in Islamabad, he told that their protest against BBC was totally peaceful which will not only continue in future but its scope will also be widened to the other countries.

Maulana Zia-ul-Qasmi chairman Supreme Council of the Sipah-e-Sahaba and member Islamic Ideological Council has also concemned the attack on BBC office as well as the arrest of Ulema in this case expressing his sympathy with the journalists. He said that BBC should also stop its unilateral propaganda against Islam.

Meanwhile the district and city presidents of SSP have announced to stage a protest procession from Jamia Masjid Katchery Bazar after Asar prayer on Monday.
