LAHORE: Wapda has energised four more grid stations to facilitate electricity consumers in Lahore, Faisalabad, Layyah and Chishtian.

According to details, 35 kilometers long 220 KV transmission line along with 220/132 KV Samundri Road grid station Faisalabad has been energised to relieve the overloaded transmission and distribution network at Faisalabad and facilitate consumers in Faisalabad region and adjoining industrial area.

With the commissioning of 132/11 KV, 10/13 MW power transformer along with 11 KV panels at Saidpur grid station Lahore, the Wapda consumers in Allama Iqbal Town, Sabzazar Scheme and Samnabad area on Multan Road have been facilitated.

With commissioning of 20 kilometers 132 KV double circuit for 132 KV grid station, Azam Chowk, consumers residing in District Layyah would be benefit. The completion of 35 kilometers long second circuit of 132 KV Hasilpur - Chishtian transmission line and installation of 13 MV power transformer T-1 and allied switchgear that local Wapda consumers would benefit.

With the accomplishment of these transmission lines and grid stations, agriculturists of the area would get tubewell connections and the voltage would be further stabilised. Similarly an increased number of connections for industrial use would be available.
